What is the cost of a lunch?
Each lunch consists of a choice between three entrees, a veggie with dip, a fruit and a homemade bitesize dessert. You have a choice of a 'junior' lunch consisting of a half entree for $5.25 or a 'senior' lunch consisting of a full entree for $5.75. Drinks are available for an additional cost which include milk, water and 100% fruit juice.
How do I purchase a KidsPlate gift certificate?
If you are interested in purchasing a gift certificate for your child or grandchild, please contact us to place your order!
How do I advise you of my child's allergies?
Please use the contact us tab and email us your child's specific allergies. Be sure to add 'allergy' in the subject line.
What if my children's school is cancelled due to weather?
If your children's school is cancelled due to weather, a credit will be placed in your KidsPlate account. We ask that you do not notify us in this case as during poor weather we will be in contact with the school boards and automatically issue the credit.
Are the lunches simple for children to eat?
Yes! All fruits and vegetables are cut into child friendly pieces. Everything is sliced, segmented or cubed. Entrees are cut into appropriate child sizes.
What if my child is a picky eater and doesn't want to eat any of the food on your menu?
We do hope we have provided enough variety in our menu to satisfy all your child's likes and dislikes. If there are items you would like to see on our menu please go to our contact page and send us an email! We would like to mention that it is true that children may not have interest in some of the food just because they’re new or have a different color than their use to eating. It’s much harder to introduce new and healthy foods as children get older. We want to introduce and reintroduce new and healthy foods as much as we can. We encourage you to keep promoting healthy eating as it lasts a lifetime! We will continually strive to please even the pickiest of eaters!
Why are some of the days of the month not available for order?
The days not available for order consist of holidays, professional development days, early dismissal days and hot lunch days for individual schools. Each individual schools calendar is programmed into the website so when ordering, the menu will display your childs specific school schedule and blackout the unavailable days.

What if my child has a small appetite?
There is a choice of a 'junior' lunch for the smaller appetites consisting of half size entrees. The junior lunch is $5.25 each. There is also 'senior' lunches for the larger appetites consisting of full size entrees. The senior lunches are $5.75 each.
Are your lunches made in a nut sensitive kitchen?
Yes, we are nut sensitive. However, please note that we use outside suppliers and therefore cannot guarantee nut free.
If we have a comment, complaint or suggestion, who do I notify?
We are completely independent from the school, please contact us for anything related to KidsPlate! You can find our contact information on the "Contact" tab at the top of the homepage.
I am a very busy parent, how many days can I order for at once?
You can order for a single day, a week, or up to two months in advance!
What's in the lunches?
Each lunch contains an entree, a vegetable and dip, a fruit, and a healthy bitesize treat. There is also the option to add a drink choice for an additional charge.
Where do I order the lunches and how do I pay for them?
All ordering is done online through our website. There are two payment options, Paypal or Cash. Please see "How it Works" subtitle under the "About Us" tab for more information.
What if my child is sick and absent from school?
Lunches can be cancelled by 8:00 AM that day for sickness and a credit will be placed in your KidsPlate account. When logging into your account you will be notified of your credit total.
What is the deadline for ordering and payment?
The deadline for ordering and payment (paypal or cash) is Thursday at midnight for the following week's orders. Payment MUST be received my midnight or orders will be cancelled. Please see "How it Works" subtitle under the "About Us" tab for more information.
